@JasonBerkun@MetaLawMan Yea, that's true. But I'm hopeful that we continue to see those judicial functions curtailed, and I believe we will. Take a look at some of the findings SCOTUS has been making lately re the ATF and 2A. They're telling us what's coming.
@JasonBerkun@MetaLawMan Keep in mind SCOTUS recently stripped the SEC of its quasi-judicial functions by denying the use of internal tribunals, AND the reversal on Chevron arguably strips the SEC of its quasi-legislative functions. Seems to me they're not gonna be exercising those functions anymore.
@CeciliaZin@8teAPi Nearly 75% of divorces are managed pro se. Most courts don't collect this data, but where they do, it's staggering. In my opinion, the future is AI enabled pro se assistance. The market is ready for it, and @lawficient is coming.
@Drew_Morris I'm really hoping the software we're launching this year gives attorneys a new way to make money without going through the meat grinder lol.
@heyitsalexsu In my experience, they don't feel threatened. They are welcoming it. I've been working with a number of state bars to implement software designed for pro se parties, and so far they all love what we're doing to help the pro se community.
@richardsusskind@thetimes That's what we are building @lawficient...legal software designed for use by pro se parties to divorce litigation, and it allows for attorneys to supervise that process in a time/cost effective manner so the attorney/client relationship is not lost. Good stuff coming in 2024. ๐
@eddienasser@sweatystartup@PeteDDavis The result is a process that incentivizes lawyers to take "basic" work from low income clients and which allows them to minimize time spent on that client while also providing invaluable service to clients that otherwise would get no help at all. DM for more deets. 2/2.
@eddienasser@sweatystartup@PeteDDavis In Colorado, upwards of 75% of those divorcing do so without atty assistance.
In response, my team and I created legal software designed for use by pro se litigants, where an atty is assigned to supervise their progress and provide limited rep services throughout. 1/2
Did you know that in some states the rate of pro se #Divorce filings is upwards of 75% of all those filing for divorce in that state? #Legal assistance is out of reach for most people. #Legaltech is going to change the game, and that change is coming soon.
@ThisIsDanMarcus@ZachAbramowitz Yes - automated, interactive processes designed by attorneys and made specifically for use by pro se litigants. Divorce, Immigration, LL/T issues....all reduced to attorney supervised processes. We expect our MVP to debut early Q4 2023.
