It's me, Janet Museveni. It is a confirmation that the God I talk about is a living God. He is not a myth, He lives!
I must therefore thank Uganda, beginning with Mzee, who has prayed with the whole nation. I praise God for leading us to know Him. Thank you all for coming out publicly to pray for me.
Thank you for all those continuous prayers and also for the kind birthday wishes. Thank you for letting me know just how much I am loved.
Sitaane, 3 months ago, on the 21st of March, 2026, launched an attack on the life of Maama. However, sitaane miscalculated. The 21st of March is a good day for the Resistance. That is when we defeated the counter-attack of Idi Amin at Rugaando (12 miles from Mbarara) in 1979. God, using good doctors, saved Maama’s life and she is now recovering well.
Maama has done great things in the family, especially caring for the children during the 2nd phase of the Resistance between 1981 to 1986 when she was alone in exile and I was in the bush. She has been a great philanthropist with UWESO and she has contributed to the NRM politics in Ntungamo on top of her religious work.
I pray to God to get us to 100 years respectively so that we, among the other good things, see the birth of the East African Federation which is the Insurance of Africa against any future domination or marginalization.
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni
Omugurusi- Ampa.
General @mkainerugaba will be on the ballot soon. How many of you will vote for him?
He possesses the qualities of a great leader vision, patriotism, courage, discipline, a commitment to national security and unity. Many believe he can consolidate the achievements already made and further boost economic growth, create opportunities for the youth, strengthen security, and advance Uganda’s development agenda.
I hear some people saying, that with us patriots in charge our beloved Fatherland is in danger. No! With the much awaited rise of the patriots Uganda is being restored to its full greatness!
Fact: President @KagutaMuseveni nominated Dr Lawrence @ReachDrMuganga (born Mukono 1976, @VUKampala VC) as State Minister for Internal Affairs in the 2026-2031 cabinet.
Fact: @Parliament_Ug’s Appointments Committee chaired by @ObothOboth rejected the nomination after due diligence revealed three passports👉🏻@GovUganda (valid), @Canada (expired 2019, renunciation process started), @RwandaGov (expired 2014). Muganga admits prior dual UG-CA citizenship, denies holding current Rwandan citizenship, and affirms he is Ugandan by birth.
Fact: Uganda law (Section 19D + Fifth Schedule, Citizenship & Immigration Control Act) https://t.co/8i3hQD6DM5 bars dual citizens from ministerial offices unless foreign citizenship is fully renounced. Other nominees with dual status provided proof of an ongoing process of renunciation and were approved.
Fact: @ReachDrMuganga has repeatedly declared loyalty to Uganda and his plan to be buried next to his parents in Mukono which is his ancestral birthplace.
With all facts now public, this matter should be left solely to President @KagutaMuseveni the elder statesman and smartest Politician among us to decide Muganga’s fate. He nominated him. He knows the full picture.
@Parliament_Ug has done its vetting. Let the appointing authority decide what serves Uganda best.

-- Israel–Uganda Relations---
Nearly fifty years after Operation Entebbe, the popular Chief of Defence Forces of the Pearl of Africa, Uganda, announced the establishment of a statue of Yoni.
The heroic Operation Entebbe served as a lesson for Israel and for the entire world. To Israel, it conveyed the message: "We will never leave an Israeli behind, nor even a Jew who is not an Israeli citizen."
To the world, it delivered another message: "By wise counsel you shall wage war" (Proverbs 24:6) is not merely a slogan associated with Israel's mysterious intelligence agency, the Mossad; it is also a distinctly Israeli and Jewish way of thinking and acting.
The Mishnah in Sanhedrin (4:5): "Whoever saves a single life is considered as if he has saved an entire world."
The wheels of history never cease to surprise the world. The waters of the vast and enchanting Lake Victoria have never ceased to provide peace, tranquility, and life.
As part of one of history's remarkable surprises, the popular commander of the Ugandan military announced in March 2026 the construction of a statue of Yoni.
Throughout Jewish history there have been many heroes, but these two brothers deserve special recognition.
The first is Yoni Netanyahu—the talented elder brother, a commander who never knew fear.
The second is his brother, Benjamin Netanyahu, who, like his elder brother, fought on the battlefield. Yet he fought not only on the battlefield but also in the arena of leadership during what many regard as the most decisive war in modern Jewish history.
Both gave everything they could give.
Both share a unique connection to Uganda.
Yoni came to rescue Jews who had been taken hostage by Palestinian and German terrorists, who were aided by the hostile and terror-supporting Ugandan regime of Idi Amin.
Over the years, Uganda's leadership invested heavily in developing the "Pearl of Africa," a phrase that has become synonymous with the nation's promise and potential.
Through the joint efforts of Uganda's courageous military leadership and President Yoweri Museveni, Uganda strengthened its position as a rising African economic, security, and diplomatic power.
Relations between Israel and Uganda continued to grow, both publicly and through cooperation behind the scenes.
After firmly warning Tehran, saying, "I offer them a piece of free advice: never threaten us again," the message was received loud and clear.
The friendship between Israel and Uganda, particularly between Israel and Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, continued to deepen. In April 2026, he announced his intention to visit the Land of Israel.
The Book of Genesis states: "I will bless those who bless you."
Those who bless the people of Israel are themselves blessed.
Many would see this as one explanation for Uganda's economic, security, and diplomatic success, and for the achievements of General Muhoozi, who has played a significant role in the country's development.
May you be blessed.
@mkainerugaba
This Thursday on the 4th of June, 2026, President @KagutaMuseveni is set to deliver the State of the Nation Address at Kololo Independence Grounds starting at 2:00pm. Don’t miss out, mark your calendars. #SONA26#OpenGovUg
Please disregard this fake social media video making rounds. #Uganda is safe. There is no lockdown. The country has the best experience in handling outbreaks. Currently, there are no local Ebola infections.
Hon. Kabanda is same rank as PM. He has a much bigger role to help you mobilize and strategize PLU take over the next Presidency and Govt after @KagutaMuseveni
My young brother Hon.Kabanda is the General Secretary of the Patriotic League of Uganda, a much more important position than being a cabinet minister. His job is to organise and mobilise the millions of young people in our country. Kabanda will get a ministerial job when Todwong gets one.
I serve a living God. I honor God, and I praise God.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
Thank you, Mr. President @KagutaMuseveni, for elevating me. Thank you, Papa Salim Saleh and my leader big brother General @mkainerugaba, for mentoring me. I will never disappoint you. We shall mobilize and serve our people parish per parish.
The transition of our parishes begins immediately. I will not sleep until every parish shines and poverty is removed from our communities. We must work together to transform the lives of our people and build a stronger Uganda.
There will be zero tolerance for corruption in PDM and all poverty alleviation programs during this kisanja. No sleep until service delivery reaches every household and every community benefits from government programs.
Our father Mr. President @KagutaMuseveni, I will not disappoint you. Ugandans, be part of the transition.
God bless Uganda, our esteemed President @KagutaMuseveni, Mama @JanetMuseveni, General Saleh , my leader @mkainerugaba, my family and to the people of Uganda .

After consultations within the party, I have decided to withdraw my interest in contesting for the position of Deputy Speaker of the 12th Parliament of Uganda.
My initial expression of interest came at a time when many leaders and members within the party believed that the position of Deputy Speaker could once again be occupied by a woman, especially considering Uganda’s history of balancing the leadership of Parliament. I was therefore humbled and encouraged by the support and confidence shown in me by many colleagues and well wishers.
However, after further engagements and reflection, it became clear that one of the major challenges experienced in the 11th Parliament was the issue of institutional memory, where both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker assumed leadership while relatively new to their respective positions at the same time. As a result, many leaders emphasised the importance of continuity and experience within the leadership of Parliament moving into the 12th Parliament.
I therefore fully support Rt. Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa for the position of Deputy Speaker. Having worked closely with him, I have witnessed his dedication, capability, and commitment to serving both Parliament and the people of Uganda. He has done an incredible job in the office and deserves continued support.
I am also aware of concerns that may a raise regarding the possibility of both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker being male at the same time. However, Uganda has previously had both positions occupied by men simultaneously, including during the leadership period of Rt. Hon. James Wapakhabulo and Rt. Hon. Francis Ayume. Therefore, at this particular moment, the focus should remain on competence, continuity, unity, and the strengthening of Parliament as an institution.
I sincerely thank all those who supported my interest and remain committed to serving Uganda with dedication and patriotism.
I also extend my appreciation to H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni @KagutaMuseveni and Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba @mkainerugaba and all other prominent leaders for their continued guidance and commitment to unity and stability within our movement and country.
God bless Uganda.
@mkainerugaba Dear General @mkainerugaba when giving the report plz mention names and the amount recovered, we don't want you to protect thieves but hiding their names, ugandans want full openness and we support you in this operation, our country has been held back for long because of thieves
