#AISS2025 | Book Launch
We are honoured to have the latest Outlook, “India Cyber Ecosystem: Scripting a Promising Global Story” launched by Dr Rabindra Narayan Behera (@MPjajpur2024), Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Bharatiya Janata Party, Jajpur (SC), Odisha, joining him by @godvinayak, CEO, DSCI, and Mr. @AtulKumar_19 , Director, DSCI.
The report highlights India’s growing global cyber presence, reflecting landmark international engagements led by DSCI and the country’s rising influence on the world stage.
Day 2 at #AISS2025 witnessed an important and engaging #plenary session on ‘Future of Global Cybersecurity Cooperation – Reflecting on Key Dimensions’.
Joining Mr. @AtulKumar_19, Director - Government Initiatives & Global, DSCI, was a global panel comprising:
-Ms. Filippa Braarud, Second Secretary | Oceans, Emerging Tech and Digital Public Goods | Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
-Ms. Melissa Anne M. Telan, Second Secretary and Consul | Political and Economic Section Head | The Embassy of the Philippines
-Mr. Aladin Legault d'Auteuil, Senior Trade Commissioner, Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada
The panel began by addressing the growing complexity driven by accelerated digitization and the convergence of IT and OT environments. Suggestions emerged around leveraging open source and its benefits, particularly its ability to be reshared and reused.
Further emphasis was placed on the importance of building global cooperation for cybersecurity, as the domain lacks strict perimeters. Developing frameworks is necessary to ensure increased collaboration among member states that come together in associations such as ASEAN.
Global governance was equally highlighted, with global summits like G20 and G7 helping shape the dialogue. Suggestions were also made to accelerate legislation development to match the evolving pace of technology.
#AISS2025 | Session: Cyber Workforce Readiness: Enterprise Capability Gaps and Skill Pathways
This insightful session was led by Mr. @AtulKumar_19, Director - Global Trade, Cyber Diplomacy, Government Initiative, DSCI. He was later joined by Arindam Roy, Country Head – South Asia, @SANSInstitute, who examined the preparedness of India’s cyber workforce and the pressing capability gaps across enterprises. The speakers highlighted the need for structured skill pathways, industry-aligned training, and a stronger talent pipeline to support the nation’s expanding cyber ecosystem.
The session also marked a significant milestone - the first India-led collaboration with the @SANSInstitute team, bringing decades of global cybersecurity expertise to accelerate talent development and enhance national cyber readiness.

A powerful discussion unfolded on the growing complexity of digital public infrastructure in the face of evolving geopolitical dynamics during the #firesidechat at #FINSEC2025 on ‘Sustaining Financial Infrastructure in Emerging Geopolitical Scenarios’.
In the Indian context, where digital public infrastructure is driving inclusivity and last-mile reach, the erosion of public trust poses a serious threat, especially in the financial sector, where trust is paramount, as quipped by Mr. @saravade, Strategy Advisor and Independent Director, and Mr. @AtulKumar_19, Director, DSCI.
As global tensions rise, so does the urgency to safeguard the integrity of digital systems.
Consul B.G. Krishnan was the chief guest at the Indo-UAE Cyber Security Industry Exchange 2.0, where he addressed industry leaders and launched Appknox's white paper, 'Securing Mobile Applications in the Era of AI and Transformation.'
The recently held ‘International Seminar on Cyber Warfare 2025: Strategies and Challenges’ facilitated an amazing interaction on #Cyber_Diplomacy. The informative exchange during the fireside chat with H.E. Marje Luup, Ambassador of Estonia to India, Maj. Sadhna Singh, NITI Aayog Official, and Dr. Oshrit Birvadker brought in diplomatic, military, and geopolitical perspectives.
With blurring boundaries across policy, diplomacy, and military strategy, the growing importance of cyber diplomacy was discussed at length. It was also stressed that cyber threats ripple out into governance, public trust, economic stability, and international relations, thus, the discussion on cyber is strategically central in global conversations now.
The panel also explored the pivotal role played by emerging technologies like AI and Quantum, which are soon going to chart the course of cyber diplomacy.
Some key highlights from the conversation:
-Emphasis laid on fostering public-private partnerships.
-Digital literacy to become a national priority.
-Forming essential coalitions to develop global partnerships.
-India's position in leading the Global South frontier.
