#BHEL is participating in GRIDCON 2025, an International Conference-cum-Exhibition, organised by POWERGRID in association with CIGRE, India. The theme of the exhibition, on from 9th to 11th March 2025 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, is ‘Innovations in Grid Resilience: Strategies for Enhancing Reliability, Sustainability, and Adaptability of Power Transmission System’.
Sh. Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, while visiting the BHEL pavilion, appreciated the company’s contribution towards building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Other dignitaries who visited the BHEL pavilion included Mr. Konstantin O. Papailiou, President, CIGRE and Sh. R.K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID. Milestone Achievement: BHEL exchanges Contract Agreement with POWERGRID for +/-800kV, 6000 MW KPS2-Nagpur HVDC Project at Corporate Centre, Gurugram.

Our leadership team led by CMD Shri K.Sadashiv Murthy, Director (IS&P) Ms. Bani Varma & ED(TBG) Shri Rakesh Singh joined POWERGRID CMD Shri R.K. Tyagi & Hitachi Energy India MD Shri Venu N. at the ceremony.

This state-of-the-art HVDC system will:

- Enable efficient 6000 MW renewable power transfer
- Enhance grid stability
- Reduce transmission losses
- Support renewable energy integration

#BHEL has been honoured by POWERGRID at the CEO Meet 2024 for its remarkable achievement in commissioning three critical substations under the Neemuch REZ TBCB project ahead of the contractual schedule, despite facing initial challenges.

Sh. Vinay Kumar Bassi, Executive Director (ROD & NREB), and Sh. Rakesh Singh, GM & Head (TBG), accepted the felicitation on behalf of the company.

The project, aimed at evacuating renewable energy generated by RUMS (Rewa Ultra Mega Solar) under Neemuch Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), comprised three substations (S/s): 400/220 kV Neemuch (New) S/s, Extension of 400 kV Chittorgarh S/s and Extension of 400 kV Mandsaur S/s

The early commissioning of these substations is a testament to BHEL's technical expertise and dedication to providing high-quality infrastructure solutions. These substations will play a vital role in facilitating the efficient transmission and distribution of green energy generated from the Neemuch REZ.
