We are a small motor museum in the heart of Wiltshire, the majority of our exhibits are cars from the 1920s onwards. We host car clubs and also do wedding hire.
With plenty of free parking, open lawns and spaces, picnic tables, hot & cold drinks, ice creams, confectionery and a historic museum collection of over 100 vehicles (admission fees apply). What's not to love! Come stay a while, relax and enjoy your visit.
Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers, we had another successful weekend with our raffle car the 1996 Rover Mini Sprite. Thank you to everyone who visited our pitch and bought raffle tickets at Castle Combe Steam Rally. Our next event for the raffle car is this Wednesday.
Day two and we're braced for the hoards of ticket buyers, all keen to win the 1996 Rover Mini Sprite. A Β£1 ticket gets you a decent chance of winning or books of 5 tickets for an even better chance. Come on over, we're at Castle Combe Steam Rally and say hello.
REMINDER: Just over a week to go. Wednesday 20th May 3-9 pm. Our Classic Care Evening Gathering. It's free to access our grounds. No need to book, just turn up! Food and refreshments on sale. All classic cars and the general public are very welcome. Discounted museum entry.
Sunday's weather forecast - warm & sunny. A perfect day to dust off your pride and joy and take it for a spin. We open at 10 am for free access to our grounds. We have discounted admission of Β£10 adults and Β£4 child to the museum collection. Hot & cold food and refreshments.

To help inspire our younger visitors and add something a little different to the museum experience, Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum is delighted to announce plans to open a brand-new petting zoo! Weβll soon have something for everyone to enjoy. Keep an eye out!
We are every excited to announce that a delegation from Calne Town's twin town Eningen in Germany, will be making an official visit to the museum, along with Calne Town Council officials, on Monday 11th May. We look forward to greeting our special VIP guests. #calnetwinning

There's still time, but only 2 weeks before our winter shutdown. Our volunteer elves are keen to start working on all the maintenance jobs over our break. We close 5pm Sunday 30th Nov and reopen Sunday 1st February 2026, with new opening times of 10am - 4pm, Tuesday - Sunday
Reminder: We will be holding a Macmillan Cancer Support Charity Coffee morning this coming Thursday 20th November from 10 am. Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring along an edible treat. Free parking.
