@haley_thomas03 @feltnerm @smwc I definitely feel like I still have a lot to learn about some of the newer programs and technology available to kids and also in the classroom. I'm sure as I get closer to my teaching degree, there will be new programs to learn already.

@CallieWilson101 @feltnerm @smwc I am one that did well in school but standardized tests were very much a struggle and caused a lot of anxiety of being prepared and having to know "everything about everything."

@haley_thomas03 @feltnerm @smwc I agree with this. If teachers and schools aren't on the same page with incorporating technology as students age through the school, that students could become confused and overwhelmed diving all in on some programs and apps.

@awright812 @feltnerm @smwc I agree that technology is now a life skill. I think you'd be doing a disservice in the classroom if we weren't teaching students along the way how to use different programs and devices, even at a young age.

@feltnerm @smwc A1: SAMR is beneficial because it allows for technology integration in the classrooms but done in at a gradual pace in conjunction with the lesson. If done correctly it can add value to the lesson and gets students engaged. #SMWCED115

@feltnerm @smwc A2: I think not using SAMR could be a very slippery slope to students using technology for busy work, boredom in the classroom, technology not be integrated or having a meaningful purpose to correlate with the lesson, etc. #SMWCED115

@feltnerm @smwc A3:Coming from a generation where technology was limited, learning how to best use/integrate technology in this class and how that has been beneficial to me vs. writing papers on how it's good makes me more self aware of what benefits SAMR could have in my classroom. #SMWCED115

@feltnerm A4: I think not offering differentiation is cause for students falling behind, not being engaged, lack of interest, frustration on the students part and a general sense of failure or confusion. Differentiation allows for students to learn how they do that best! #SMWCED115

@feltnerm @smwc A5: I think since taking this class IXL has become one of my new favorite apps to reference or use. I think it offers a wide variety of lessons for those who are struggling and those who are ahead and need to be challenged a bit more. #SMWCED115

@feltnerm @smwc A6: Authentic assessments I think are more relatable and useful to real life experiences and tools kids will use later on in their life and careers. I also think it's more beneficial for kids who don't always perform well with standardized tests. #SMWCED115

@feltnerm @smwc A7: Balance is important because when you are constantly being presented new ideas or different ways of doing lessons, the feelings of should I be doing something else/more set in. It's best to remember the core goals and do what works best for us and our class. #SMWCED115

@feltnerm @smwc A8: My biggest takeaway is that technology is much more than letting the kids play on Chrome books for fun or to "kill time." Technology is important to incorporate for a vast amount of reasons. #SMWCED115
