A few years ago, I got my first remote role as a Project Manager.
I still remember the feeling.
I was excited. Nervous. Grateful. A little scared.
And honestly, in disbelief.
I was new to the tech industry, and landing a remote role so quickly felt like a miracle.
I refreshed my email over and over again, hoping it was true.
Then the offer letter came in.
At that moment, it became real.
I had done it.
I was officially starting my career in tech.
But after the excitement wore off, reality set in.
My first two weeks were overwhelming.
I felt completely lost.
There was no structured onboarding process.
No clear documentation.
No guide explaining where things were, how work was done, or who was responsible for what.
I had to figure out almost everything on my own.
I spent hours searching through messages, asking repetitive questions, and trying to piece together processes from scattered information.
It was frustrating.
Not because the team wasn’t supportive, but because the knowledge existed only in people’s heads and everyone had their own interpretation of things.
That experience showed me that good systems are not “nice to have.”
They are essential.
If your business depends on people constantly asking, “How do we do this?” then you don’t have a process problem.
You have a documentation problem.
That’s why I’ve put together free SOP templates for:
• Operations Managers
• Project Managers
• Startup Founders
• Small Business Owners
These templates will help you document your processes, onboard faster, and build a business that runs with clarity and consistency.
Comment “SOP” or send me a message, and I’ll share them with you.
