Shakespeare, drama, radio. Often all at the same time. Lecturer @UOSEnglish. New book #ShakespeareOnTheRadio. Formerly BBC producer. My views. 🦋 @audioandrea

University degrees are not all about salaries. They are about learning to think differently and more carefully. Dispiriting discussion on bbc politics live which focussed entirely on earnings. Ok the financing is v important but the aim is not just a high paid job.
Are you still agonising over whether to give your valentine a copy of Wuthering Heights or the History of the East Suffolk Railway? 💕Would they prefer Love in a Cold Climate to USAAF Bombers of WW2? 💕How about a gift voucher to spend in Treasure Chest #felixstowe? 💕
The BSA Small Grants Fund is back! BSA members can apply by 30 March for up to £500 to support Shakespeare related events or research. We especially encourage proposals from doctoral researchers, ECRs, teachers and creative practitioners! Find out more at:

Full circle.
My first ever slice of the BBC @BBCSuffolk - work experience. @StephenFoz’s drive time show, producer @AudioAndrea (absolute legend) sent me out to ask folks what makes them happy.
What makes ME happy? Seeing Foz. A legend in more ways than one💙
A very interesting day at Caversham today, and a reminder of the value of dedicated archivists: much of the best material came from a file I hadn't thought to ask for, but they knew would very probably be useful.
I'm looking forward to bringing this story to you in early April!
THANK YOU @AudioAndrea for a sensational #WolseyWriters today. Andrea led us through the most iconic scenes in Romeo & Juliet from the POV of audio drama, and read from her brilliant book #Shakespeare On The Radio. Thank You #NewWolsey for hosting us too. Happy Valentine's Day 💘

I've always been irked by #Hamnet but with such universal love (so it seemed), I kept schtum. This says it all. And when someone writes the film about Twelfth Night as discussed here, I'll be at the front of the queue 🎭🎬

Meeting Dame Judi & working with her in Hampton Court was an exceptional privilege - & a masterclass in warmth, generosity, & consummate professionalism. It airs tonight at 9pm on @Channel4; I'm slightly nervous, but not for Judi.
Hurrah for #TheMaskedSinger
Not only does it have the most wonderful, bonkers costumes... But how often do you see four women over 75 in one show, all being fantastic and funny.
Other TV producers, please take note 📺🎶
