A RIVER FLOOD WARNING is still in effect for Oostanaula River of Gordon County in Calhoun, GA. Do NOT walk or drive through any unknown depths of water.

There are still HUNDREDS of households without power in Hamilton, Bledsoe, and Rhea counties in TN. These are most likely due to wind damage. Hopefully, these will be resolved soon.

A TORNADO from last night has now been confirmed to be an EF-1 outside of our viewing area near DeKalb County in AL. We are hoping everyone is okay.

Temperatures are going to continue to drop to 26 for the low with a wind chill of down to 7 degrees colder than the actual temperature headed into Monday morning.

The main severe threats for our coverage area are now over. The remaining conditions include gusty winds, rain, lightning, and possible, additional tree damage and power outages.

Some hail has been detected in Catoosa and Whitfield counties in GA from about an hour ago. The majority of the hail is staying south of our coverage area.

Tree damage has been reported in portions of Marion County from earlier. Use caution if you have to drive near these areas.

Damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and lightning are still threats we are monitoring. However, the tornado threat has gone down significantly.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENTS are in place for Hamilton, Bradley, McMinn, Rhea, Meigs, Bledsoe, Polk, and Monroe counties in TN and Cherokee County in NC. Expect 50 mph wind gusts, heavy rain, and lightning.

Additional SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS have been issued for portions of Northern GA. Expect 60 mph wind gusts, heavy rainfall, and lightning. STAY INDOORS.

A TORNADO WARNING has been issued for additional portions of Jackson County in AL. Find your safe space NOW. The best area is a basement, the next best is the most interior and lowest part of your home with no windows.

If you live near Booneville, Lynchburg, Pleasant Hill, Countyline, Ridgeville, or Lockes Mill, TN, prepare to take cover. Rotation is likely. Find the lowest and smallest area of your home w/o windows such as a closet, hallway, or bathroom. A basement is ideal.
