Symposium Day here at #UMaineFarmington! How might you use visual coding to develop literacy practices (writing) and computational thinking using Scratch Jr.? @dcchambs
Q9: Participating in this chat has informed me on many new and updated AT solutions! Another way could be following the pages you all suggested! #edtech207
A7: AT can be trial and error. If students are enjoying the different activities that they are engaging in and learning from them, then they are effective. Assessing the students on their comprehension of the material afterward could be a way to gauge effectiveness. #edtech207
The given... a form of tech! iPads, tablets, laptops, etc. Teachers also need to have knowledge on the various apps and tools to best suit their students! #edtech207
I recently attended the Literacy Connection Conference put on by the Bara=bara Bush Foundation at Thomas College in Waterville and my partner and I presented on the app "Chatter Pix!" It's a very fun and integrative app that kids of all ages can understand and use! #edtech207
I am currently in a K classroom for my practicum and we use many apps during reading time! Raz Kidz is a great app that has different reading levels for students of all abilities! #edtech207
@jodi_teacher@MeredithSwallow is actually my tech teacher! She has introduced me to a large variety of different apps and other AT! Although I was reserved at first, flipgrid is actually a great tool for teachers and students! #edtech207
A3: I personally have not used any AT solutions with students because I am a pre-service teacher! I am interested in seeing what others have done! #edtech207
A2: Assistive technology matters because it's a tool that can be used to get help immediately. Without assistive tech some may not be able to receive the greatest and fullest education that one could. #edtech207
