Short story time
(Please take a minute to read this, it won't take long)

I was talking to someone about their VTuber.
We had a nice conversation, talked about their plans, their character, and their ideas.
I offered to sketch a chibi version of their model for free, just so they could see how my art would look before ever thinking about anything else.
No price, no expectations, nothing in return, just trying to help and build trust.

I spent time on it, trying to make it look good, trying to do justice to their character.
And then… I was blocked.

I’m not angry, just honestly a little heartbroken.
Because people don’t always see the hours behind a sketch, the effort, or how much artists actually care about getting things right.

I understand there are a lot of scammers out there, and people are careful, I get that.
But sometimes I wonder… what more can an artist do to earn someone’s trust?

Anyway, just wanted to share.
