@MDBonnke@DGlaucomflecken I mean that's what he is getting at. It's ridiculous to demand that of medical professionals when it has nothing to do with what they actually want to do.
@ekverstania@twinkletoesY2K I write on the board with my right hand and on paper with my left. I play handball with my right hand and I use scissors with my left. I used to switch all the time when I was young. It's just a type of ambidexterity.
@GarciaLabMS As someone applying right now it does feel a bit meaningless from a research perspective since I've only worked with two PIs which are the ones actually able to evaluate me. That said, it's not that much of a challenge to get someone else but they do not know me as a researcher.
@DocEdge85 Great thread but I feel it's not even worth arguing scientifically with OP. In the first place, they are arguing against genetic diversity, so even if they were right, they are still wrong.
It was great to present my research on live cell imaging of R-loop mediated Transcription-Replication Conflicts in the Munich Chromatin Day this morning! My green T-shirt made me invisible in front of the green board XD
In the most recent episode we talked with Dr. Stephan Hamperl from @epigeneticsHMGU about his work on how conflicts between transcription, replication, and R-loop formation influence genome stability in human cells. #epigenetics#podcast
