@CooterVol @MarkInColumbo He didn’t say that at all. Also let’s revisit a hire from a non revenue sport at UT. The soccer coach that was hired on staff currently was not named interim when the HC left. Baseball is a non revenue sport for UT as well.

@TheJim_34 @lambo_raby10 He hired the assistant soccer coach after not naming him the interim. Elander is the best option now I do agree. You never know who wants the job however. UT has a top 5 funded baseball program not including the stadium. Who wouldn’t want the best.

@dccoletrain Let’s see the P&L for next year before you jump to conclusions. Also he did the same thing for the women’s soccer search last year not naming the number one the interim coach. That is also a non revenue sport.

@Charlie_Burris It comes down to chain of command. A colonel doesn’t talk to a first Lieutenant very often at all. Corporate structures are similar. Why would Danny have a social relationship with assistant coaches? Same thing.
