Neighbors formed the Ault Park Advisory Council (APAC) in 1987. With their help and determination, Ault Park was restored and protected, and continues to be a city jewel. Check out this highlight video from 2013 featuring one of the founding Board Members Robert Kranz.

Look for the trail entry on the left side of the road as you start down the service road. The trail can also be accessed between the parking area near the picnic tables and the parking lot for the shelter on the north side of Observatory Circle. Signs mark both trailheads.
His favorite part of the park is the miles of trails that wind through the park’s woodlands. His fun fact about Ault Park is that the forest is repeatedly used as a research site for environmental studies, the latest of which was a comparative study of winter bird populations.
