Economic interests are all our interests?
If The Right is as bad as you say it is, why is that our Country is in terrible debt, my State Victoria (where The Left have been in-charge the longest), is broke, missing police, high in dangerous crime, low in criminals being in jail, high on home invasions, tax, car bombings, more tax, stabbings, another tax, less transparency, more tax, no accountability for politicians who make terrible choices, and the most corrupt Union to ever walk the face of this country?????
Please tell me.... I'd love to know who to vote for!
@bazzacc2 Turn the temperature down?
🤷🤦
Hey Bazz, why don't we all agree not to resort to name calling or baseless remarks.
Either you're genuinely interested in the direction of Australia, or you just want to play divisive politics.
My absolute genuine, with calmness kindness and compassion attempt at a conversation with a Greens supporter today at a panel event in Kororoit.
(Conversation starts with him telling me why I am awful for supporting One Nation; facist racist etc...).
"So, every thing you are saying about your belief of the Party I support, I could say the same thing about your Party - but isn't the real issue here that after listening to all the Candidates speak, we can actually all agree about what the problems are out West, and where the difference is; is on how to solve them?, So why can't we have a genuine conversation about those differences to work together to solve the problems we all agree exist?
Him: "Oh so you think the Greens are bad do you?, What policy don't you like about The Greens".
Me: "Ok, well, I don't like that they have supported the complete erasrer of female sex- based rights"
Him: "SO YOU HATE TRANS PEOPLE!!!!"
Me: "No, not at all, and you know that is a strawman argument, and not what we are talking about...."
Him: "I'M TRANS AND YOU HATE ME AND DONT WANT ME TO EXIST!!!!!"
Me: "Not at all. I see you. I want to get to know you. I genuinely want to have a conversation with you about the issues because I care about you, and I care about The West. Don't we have that in common?"
Him: "MY LIFE IS UNDER CONSTANT THREAT FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND YOU JUET HATE TRANS PEOPLE".
Me: "Can you hear the story in your head? What words have I said to you in this conversation that would give you that impression? Let's talk about the issues".
- Socialist Candidate (See earlier post), comes and grabs him and pulls him away, saying
"Don't waste your time talking with facists".
I mean honestly - where do we go from here? Really?
This Marxist Ideology has completely captured this younger generation, that they cannot talk about the real issues. It's like they want a war. It's like they genuinely want innocent people to suffer under some martial law chaos as they burn the city to the ground, in some missguided belief that this will bring about this insane socialist "utopia" they think exists.
Because I can't make sense of it.
Dehumanising people that don't agree with them, refusing to engage in discourse, refusing to shake hands with your opposition, refusing reasonable conversation on issues we all care about - when the talking stops, the fighting starts.
They know this....so why are they not talking with us?
Amazing new story in Australian politics.
An elderly man died and his property sat vacant as his daughter tried to renovate it so she could move in.
Victorian Socialists Senate candidate Jordan Van Den Lamb (Purple Pingers) posted the address and encouraged people to squat in it because it was “vacant.”
A group of squatters moved in, changed the locks and sold all old man’s possessions. Leaving his daughter heartbroken.
The ABC asked Mr van den Lamb if he wanted to apologise to Carol.
"I guess so," he said.
"I don't want her to feel bad."
But Mr van den Lamb said he would like to have "a bigger conversation" with Carol about the housing crisis.
"For every story like hers there are hundreds of stories of people sleeping rough," he said.
@SamItaliano85 Definitely got that impression. He did not want to engage with me on a human level. It was like his entire identity relied on me being the enemy, no matter what I said....he had to hate me, because if he didn't, his entire existence in the political world would be compromised.
I would challenge any Australian to read some of these threats and some of the abuse that is reported to us from other Women fighting for female sex-based rights, and for anyone to argue that it is free speech or political discourse.
Funny that the conversation about political threats of violence, death, rape etc are only 'outrageous' and 'unacceptable now a politician has been seriously injured.
I guess this issue that has pervaded political discourse for us "regular" folk just isn't as important 🤷
I'm glad the conversation is being had, but when did Politicians as a class of people become a group "more worthy" of protection than anybody else in the community?
"I would challenge any Australian to read some of these threats and some of the abuse that is reported to us from federal parliamentarians and for anyone to argue that that is free speech or political discourse," she said.

@2n24cmjhgc I'm not sure. I think much of it is specific training they get. Because they all speak in a very similar way that seems to be purposely obfuscating...and so many of them do it, so it suggests coordinated training..
Quote of the Day...
Ryan, Socialist Candidate for Kororoit interrupts Seva Melnikov, One Nation Candidate for Kororoit,
when he is replying to a question about small business stress and Victorian taxes.
He said as 'As a Migrant who came from a Communist/Socialist Country, I can tell you, you need an incentive for Businesses to thrive'.
Ryan chimes in 'that wasn't a Socialist Country'.
Seva: "What, the USSR?".
@MelissaVla40400 I had to deal with Social Workers as a kid. I legitimately feel so sorry for children that may have to deal with having her as their advocate.
This is outrageous.
There is no evidence WHATSOEVER that the hilarious One Nation Cartoons have anything to do with the increase in threats and actual violence in the politic-sphere. There is every peice of evidence that Socialism (Left wing extremism) is the root cause of this increase.
To suggest otherwise is a failure of leadership and Barrett should resign her post in shame.
This is outrageous. There is no indication or suggestion whatsoever that One Nation's cartoons had the SLIGHTEST impact on what happened last week.
If anything, we should be talking about drug use, mental health, and a failure of policing to handle repeated community concerns about dangerous individuals.
Another attempt to deflect public attention from actual system failures and blame a politically inconvenient cartoon that POINTS OUT THESE FAILURES.
This attack on satire must stop.
@NjoyNationalism Perhaps a lesson I have yet to learn. I don't want to dehumanise them and just write them off. I think these young people have been brainwashed and so it's like a disease. They need help! I just don't know how we reach them 🤷
@Woody2Jenny Definitely true on the anger part. Which is why I tried to bring him down a little, like, hey, let's just chat....two people at an event here concerned about the same things...let's find some common ground. But he had no interest whatsoever.
@MelissaVla40400 Yeah she said she worked in youth services. Definitely felt like she had more weak excuses for youth who offend, way more than she had sympathy for the victims of their crimes. (In that she had absolutely none).
I think the issue is once burned twice shy.
They have Candidates who aren't fully across policy, or know how to confidently respond to a policy question the Party doesn't have a current position on, and they flounder...
This footage is then promulgated widely by opposition and harms the brand.
So the Party's response is to minimise those media opportunities...
That's my two cents worth anyway.
@blackthugcat I felt bad for Joyce, he tried to answer questions as best he could but was ill equipped on the day. I thought he was genuine in his responses and said he would follow up with people who he couldn't answer on the day.
