Tom Mann from won the inaugural Award of Excellence in Rangeland Management. Today his grandson Marcus Pearce (year 11 student) presented to #ARS23 on his behalf. We believe he is youngest ever presenter at an ARS conference. Very fitting for the session on “Passing the Baton”.
Alejandro Carrillo presented at #ARS23 in Broome Western Australia yesterday. He is a fourth-generation rancher in the Chihuahuan desert in Mexico. Rarely his precipitation goes beyond 9 inches of rain per year.
He shared his views on Australian rangelands with us.
Wrapping up the final session with a panel discussion on the use of technology in monitoring and managing land. What tools are needed in the tool box?. #ars23#rangelands
