In 1985, Alex Odeh, a Palestinian American organizer in California, was killed by a pipe bomb planted at his office door. The killers were members of the Jewish Defense League. No one was ever convicted. The suspects fled to Israel, where they lived freely for decades. Forty-one years later, the pattern has repeated almost exactly. A JDL-affiliated extremist targets a Palestinian-American organizer with explosives and plans to flee to Israel afterward. The only difference is that this time, law enforcement intervened before the bombing occured.

Al-Aqsa keeps exposing the spiritual bankruptcy of a Muslim world that often praises the mosque in sermons while abandoning it in practice. What does it say about a global Muslim body of billions that one of its holiest sanctuaries can be raided, shut down, and slowly edged towards destruction while most respond with little more than cheap statements and condemnations? That is a total embarrassment.

These fathers in Iran are living every parent’s nightmare after U.S.-Israeli airstrikes hit a girls’ elementary school and turned classrooms into a literal graveyard.

This is what empire does. This is what Zionism does, then calls it self-defense. And it is the same actors that have massacred Gaza, destroyed Iraq, devastated Syria, destabilized Libya, Afghanistan, and Yemen.

American imperialism and Zionism are not only destroying our homelands, they are dividing the region, turning us against one another, and chipping away at the safety and dignity of every people in it.

May Allah protect the people of Iran, envelop these children in His mercy, and grant patience and strength to every mother and father left standing in the ruins.

The U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran should end a dangerous illusion that Muslim states can survive indefinitely by staying politically obedient to Western-Zionist hegemony.

What this should make clear is that the issue is not Iran alone. Iran is only the latest site where the same lesson is being taught. Palestine was supposed to be the exception. Then Iraq was the exception. Then Yemen, Syria, and Libya. Each time, Muslims were told that the target was unique, that the circumstances were special, that the violence would stop there. It never stops there. That is because the real project is larger than any one country. It is to keep the region divided, weak, and unable to develop any serious political or military independence outside the terms set by Washington and its Zionist outpost.

This is why Muslim governments must learn, urgently, that survival will not come through normalization or obedience to Western hegemony. A region broken into fearful states, each bargaining and frankly begging for safety, will be picked apart one by one. Only a unified front built on genuine political will and organized power offers any serious chance of protecting our peoples from an enemy that seeks to expand its regime of terror.

The people lecturing the world about freedom and women’s rights belong to a morally diseased ruling class. These are the same elite circles that justify slaughtering children in Gaza and bombing elementary schools in Iran. They have no moral high ground. None. The Epstein scandal tore open the filth of a world run on blackmail, pedophilia, and child rape across Washington and Tel Aviv.

A ruling class saturated with that kind of rot has no right to present itself as the defender of freedom. And if we keep treating that moral corruption as separate from this imperial violence, we will keep missing the point. They are connected. This should radicalize every conscience. And if that rot is not confronted, it will spread through our societies, our institutions, and our moral imagination. Indeed, it already has.
