Sky report that there is no current way in the sports regulations to set a grid from a sprint weekend

They will try qualifying tomorrow potentially or maybe set it from the sprint grid, I think FP1 cannot be considered representative enough

Oscar was thrilled to be back on pole for the first time in 2024 as he recalled his session:

Thursday Warm Up: Oscar Piastri 🇦🇺

Oscar was actually happy with Mexico despite the qualifying mistake when compared to Austin:

“Austin we had a car that was quick but very very difficult to drive and I think in qualifying especially was tough to get the most out of. In the race just going a bit slower with the lap times it’s maybe a little bit easier to get the pace out of it. But I was much happier in Mexico which obviously the results don’t reflect but felt much more comfortable kind of made qualifying even more of a shame. But I would rather have a weekend like a Mexico where I’m comfortable at least in knowing that I made a mistake rather then in Austin when I’m struggling to get the most out of the car.”
