If you are still thinking that “treaty” must come before the Voice, please read this important piece. It dispels some common misconceptions about “treaty” in the modern Australian context. I have extracted some highlights, which will take less than a minute to read. #treaty
@WGroypius You know he lives here, right?
And also that hes against all violence against women, including other countries.
It feels like you are so busy feeling uncomfortable that a person with darker skin is saying something that you kinda lost the whole point of his message. Racist much?
@gracie_je@Austin_Health So sorry to hear you aren't getting appropriate support. Every hospital needs to have policies to support breastfeeding, and the @AustinHospital is no different to others who don't have the needs of those breastfeeding and their little ones in mind. #Breastfeeding#lactation
@LucieCutting @bhakthi I think i chose wisely, though maybe it was also about where i found my partner (uni scene). We used cloth nappies, he did almost all the washing and folding in first year as i was breastfeeding. He also did the cooking and shopping, and worked full-time while i mummed full-time!
@DHughesy Yup. My son turned 18 in the lockdown last year, and 19 in this lockdown.
No end of year 12 celebration with families. VCE highly impacted.
They are doing three best they can in trying times, but I tip a party blow out once things ease!
@Josh_Will_au @wendy_harmer There aren't enough vaccines in Australia to make a real impact. Until we have a LOT more vaccines than we currently have available, vaccination isn't a way out of lockdown. Effective social distancing, quarantine of people who've been exposed, social supports and time. That's it
@MChalasani@NICU_Musings@jramonfernandez @sbernsteinmd Every day makes a difference and there are dose related risks to weaning from breastfeeding or breast milk feeding for mother and baby. Exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months then breastfeeding combined with family foods should be the guidance from health professionals #EBP
During Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June), we would like to acknowledge the Indigenous women of Australia who have been living, working, birthing, breastfeeding and raising children successfully on this country for tens of thousands of years.
To celebrate our 1 millionth call to the National Breastfeeding Helpline, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible volunteers who answer your calls. Meet Leanne, a Breastfeeding Counsellor in Victoria, who took the millionth call to the Helpline last week. #1millioncalls
