@martindevlinnz@FIFAWorldCup They were just better. Way better. Not sure what Payne was doing with his back to the ball in one of the goals. The defence stopped so many goals but the Belgian’s were a class above.
@thesplund1@ttt1531077@bigbabolat That’s correct. I was replying to someone saying it was a public event👆. If that’s the case the constitution is relevant. Clearly it’s a ticketed event .. ergo private. It can’t be public and private at the same time.
Reading the thread helps.
@ttt1531077@thesplund1@bigbabolat So then the 1st amendment is applicable..also to free speech. Both are protected. You can’t have one without the other. FYI a ticketed event isn’t a public event.
@ttt1531077@bigbabolat Course not. But that’s not what happened. Would you kick out a customer because another customer claimed they overheard Something offensive? Can I then record you eating without your consent? No, right.
@ttt1531077@thesplund1@bigbabolat FIFA can’t make rules outside of state and federal law. They can have policies and guidelines and being a private event can ask people to leave…But didn’t. All you have is someone whinging to his camera about his version of events rather than watching the game he paid to see.
@ttt1531077@thesplund1@bigbabolat Let’s deal with reality shall we. FYI a ticketed event isn’t public. The 1st Amendment covers freedom of speech and press. You’re saying he can be removed for speech but not for recording?.. can you see the contradiction? Both are protected one can’t be fine and the other not.
@ttt1531077@bigbabolat To legally remove him they must trespass him. Trespass comes with the threat of arrest if you don’t comply. Also the guy videoing also wanted to dox the person..get home fired and ruin his company etc.. I note all while enjoying the 1st amendment to say what he likes.
@ttt1531077@thesplund1@bigbabolat Hang on it’s a ticketed event not public. Think about what you’re saying.. if it’s public the 1st amendment is applicable if it private he needs consent. Make up your mind.
@ttt1531077@bigbabolat Laws trump policy. Go wave this screen shot in front of a cop and see how far you get. Let’s deal with what actually happened. He wasn’t removed so it’s safe to say they didn’t have the authority to do it. Probably because there’s no evidence of him saying it?
@TimjboAU Idiot. Abusing ON will not get back LNP voters who have moved. His party are just Labor watered down. Take it personally means in covering my arse so I can attack my opponents personally also.. funny he doesn’t do this with Labor 🤔
@thesplund1@ttt1531077@bigbabolat Yes and as no one was willing to remove the person we can safely assume they don’t have the right to do so, also we open a Pandora’s box about what’s racism and what isn’t. That said you need consent to videotape people in a private venue.
@ttt1531077@bigbabolat So videotaping people without consent is a crime then right. Because he’s in a private venue. A private venue can refuse entry for anyone they like yes.. the fact they weren’t interested to remove the person indicates they probably didn’t have the authority to.
@TheConservati19 If you understand and follow the biggest game on the planet you may enjoy it. Like cricket you have to understand the nuance to the game.
@ttt1531077@bigbabolat The constitution trumps laws, rules or codes of conduct FIFA may have.
You can’t make a constitutionally protected activity a crime.
