3 Royal Australian Navy Submariners have qualified as marine engineers and may deploy aboard the UK’s conventionally armed Astute class Submarines.

The trio mark the first Australian Cohort to qualify within the UK training system as part of the UK's role in AUKUS.

The Government has launched Australia’s AUKUS Submarine Industry Strategy.

The Strategy outlines the prioritisation framework that will give businesses in Australia the confidence to invest in their own technical capabilities, personnel and facilities.
