5. The core is goal setting, activity scheduling, and behavior monitoring.
6. Includes 5 mindfulness exercises, 1 savoring exercise, and 2 guided imagery exercises.
7. While aimed at Veterans, it can probably be used with lots of folks!

@adampmcguire It's definitely become clear that a "quick" YouTube break isn't a very effective carrot... So for me, I'll have to find some of these or stale Peeps.

Trying to foster social connection and have fun as a lab has been difficult with COVID and switching between virtual/in-person activities. Here's a couple things we tried or have planned. 🧵

I know time is running short with application deadlines looming, but I'm looking for a new counseling #psychology doctoral student at @SouthernMiss. Some highlights: Learn R, open science, daily diary studies, publicly available data, qualitative projects, and more! (1/n)
I'd especially encourage you to apply if you have interests in #lifestyle factors (diet, exercise, sleep etc.) and mental health or if you have interest in the benefits of #nature for our health and well-being. The deadline is Dec 1 (2/n)
This seems like a nice opportunity to hear from folks who are looking into the role of nature in health and well-being. The Health and Nature symposium on Dec 8th. https://t.co/8hhMjcOcZA
@SolomonKurz If it's for experience sampling-type analysis, I took a workshop based on the "Intensive Longitudinal Methods" text by Bolger & Laurenceau. https://t.co/3yRaUPuEpv
The example scripts and data are available on the website. It's the only one I've used.
@SolomonKurz Also, he assumes that morning/evening work leads to increased overall dissatisfaction and burnout... but if you live in Chicago and all of a sudden you cut out your commute (least happy part of the day? https://t.co/wzs1GKFMuY), I'm not so sure.
A big productivity drop for 10,000 IT employees: "Total hours worked increased by roughly 30%, including a rise of 18% in working after normal business hours. Average output did not significantly change. Therefore, productivity fell by about 20%"

@SolomonKurz He mentions "pandemic-induced remote work," but I agree the interpretation was lacking - Homeschooling your kids during the workday doesn't affect productivity right??
