We have literally never been more back!
Last night, we lit up the beloved Hollywood landmark, The Cinerama Dome, with a nod to Columbia Pictures first-ever premiere there: Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Today we welcome a new era for a cathedral of cinema unlike any other.
From hosting the first-ever Columbia Pictures film premiere at the Cinerama Dome—Close Encounters of the Third Kind in 1977—to welcoming generations of moviegoers for unforgettable cinematic moments, the Cinerama Dome has always been more than a theater—it’s been part of Hollywood history.
Today, we usher in a new era for this iconic Los Angeles landmark. See you at the movies.

I’ve now seen THE ODYSSEY in 1.43 IMAX 70mm, 2.20 70mm, and 2.39 35mm. Every experience was unique and none of them felt like I was missing out on any part of the film. As usual, Nolan has protected the frame for all formats nicely. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
