A Bit of Shade is a gripping thriller that blends heart-pounding action with the emotional depth of a father's fight for his family. Set against a vividly realized near-future America, my debut novel explores loyalty, sacrifice, and the cost of truth in a world on the brink.
I hope you read and enjoy!
Because none of the answers actually represent the correct answer meaning it will always be wrong ans you have a 0% chance of being right. Thus a paradox making 0 the right answer but if you picked randomly you have a 25% chance to select 0% making 25% the right answer and since there are 2 its a 50% chance.
I never said it was equal, but its not people reading Mises and going lets try that. It is people all over the world doing something that works and doing more of it. Some countries don't do that for an unlimited number of reasons and some do. Each system is working in its own fashion alongside other systems. Every place is at a different point in their economic system's evolution and some are even going backwards. But if you don't agree with me then I feel as though you are philosophically saying you don't think that success and efficiency is the signal of what is good economic policy and what is bad. When systems do the opposite they tend to suffer consequences or at least the people do.
I'm not underestimating it, I am saying despite their efforts to undermine it markets still tend toward efficiency. When they become inefficient you start to see crazy issues. One example could be companies leaving the US and offshoring due to costs and red tape. But that also leads to capitalism and liberty spreading elsewhere sometimes too.
But I think you are missing a major piece which is that it wasn't Austrian school influence that led to more capitalism and more liberty it was the economizing of capital. Most of what they did was explain the why and how.
Nah, the ideas of the Austrian school is that the economy tends toward efficiency despite the state's best efforts. They made an observation, people are doing the opposite of following their prescription but we are still trending toward capitalism and liberty anyway. I think its a fatal misunderstanding to overstate the influence as opposed to understand their argument. They didn't influence enough people but markets do not care who advocated for them or not, markets just be markets.
@yaakovmarkel@jackvlloyd Sure but the post isn't in a vacuum. I've seen plenty to read between the lines and understand the intent. It annoys me because it does nothing to change opinions which I would enjoy if people hated Jews less, Israel I could care less about.
