Great stuff today from Skip Johnson on Brent Venables speaking to the team last night in the locker room:
"I thought it was electric. I'm not much on rah rah speeches, unless I get really pissed. I'll give some of those, but those are pretty rare. When I walked around the corner, I don't know who was more excited that we won: Carly (Murray) or Brent (Venables). He hugged me and I thought I was going to get a concussion. He gives me a fist bump, and he lifts a little more than I get to lift."
"I said 'Hey man, you're talking to the team.'"
"To see that fire and that tenacity and, whatever you'd say, the enthusiasm that Brent Venables showed yesterday just shows you what our school is about. Because we love each other like that. It's a family-owned business. That's what the University of Oklahoma is all about."

"I do think the political violence and rhetoric in this country is completely out of control."
Speaking on @TheFive, VP JD Vance reacted to news that the FBI disrupted an alleged drone and sniper plot targeting the White House UFC Freedom 250 event.
Vance said the suspects never came close to carrying out the attack and credited law enforcement for stopping the plot before it reached the point of execution.
OU has now beaten the ACC regular season & tourney champs (GT), the Big 12 regular season & tourney champs (KU) and the SEC regular season & tourney champs (UGA) in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Just an unbelievable run right now! #MCWS#OklaOmaha#BoomerSooner
Our plan for the coming days: We‘ll be staying in Texas for a few more days and return to Houston on the 17th for the Portugal vs Congo match. After that match we‘ll jump straight into the car to start driving towards Oklahoma City for the Ella Langley concert on the 18th.
