This was Cam Latu’s lone offensive snap as a fullback. He’s a TE by trade, so not sure why he can’t have more of a role as a blocking TE.
Asked #Eagles coach Nick Sirianni about that, and he defended Grant Calcaterra/Kylen Granson. Even if they are better receivers, they’ve been a targeted just a combined 7 times.
2nd & 8 failed run in the red zone (outside zone to the boundary in the red zone with Calcaterra lead blocking is insane) and not a 3 yard loss on 2nd & 5. This isn’t last year. The runs aren’t working.
Nick Sirianni talks about "mastering the things that require no talent."
The Eagles massively struggle to get out of the huddle and get lined up at the line of scrimmage in a timely fashion.
We are now seeing multiple teams use low line drive bouncing kickoffs to steal chunks of yards on special teams
If you're tired of seeing possessions start near the 35 yard line, then your team should try this ⬇️
Which TE has the most run blocking snaps in the NFL over the last two seasons?
Grant Calcaterra
The Eagles desperately need a good blocking TE behind Dallas Goedert, but have failed to acquire one. I could legitimately post 50 clips of bad reps by him that led to failed runs.
