@irvine_eddie@JosephFordCotto Ultimately having American bases on European soil is a decision for the host nations. Given the politics of today I understand growing European militaries, but what does Europe gain from closing US bases? Aren't they still an asset against current and future Russian aggression?
@irvine_eddie@JosephFordCotto Fair points, if for no other reason than the alliance has stood since 1949 and if one single madman getting in the whitehouse for 5 years can tear it to shreds to the point where it has no further value then it must never have meant much to begin with (I don't think so).
@0hour1 DOD only matters if they are active military, otherwise it is a DOJ matter and DOJ has rules they are required to follow (Americans have rights and Trump better remember that).
@MoterSensha People in the US army like to say "no man left behind" it is not just a motto but a strategy that every soldier relies on knowing they will always have backup when they need it.
@GrindeOptions Depends on whom you think "the enemy" is.
Some say Iran is our enemy, others say Trump and what he has done over the past year makes him our enemy.
It's about perspective.
