Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.
In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.
…And really, THAT song?

This fall, news leaked that New Brunswick plans to bid adieu to its French immersion program, starting next year.
The government says it'll have a new, not-yet-defined plan for all to learn basic French, but parents are wary.

1/2 It's Election Day for Municipalities in New Brunswick! Polls are open from 10:00am to 8:00pm today for those entities in election. Candidates have been working hard over the last month to earn your support, and we want to recognize all the efforts they have put into this race
Canadian Parents for French NB is alleging that a pilot program has replaced the French Immersion program at Maplehurst middle school in Moncton for the last two years.
They say students have been getting 25% of teaching in French rather than 75%.
@robhoadley@premierbhiggs @bhogan1961 I completed FI from grades 1-12. It encouraged me to spend a month in France with a host family when I was 16, encouraged me to do public speaking (in my 2nd language!), and was central to being able to work bilingually in Communications. FI works!
@robhoadley Agree Rob! Have you seen the petition/letter campaign that CPF NB has launched? We would encourage you to check it out & sign (and share!) to keep getting people involved in the process: https://t.co/SSiyIq1M0G
French Immersion in NB is on the chopping block, again. In 2021-22, over 93% of NB students in FI ranked intermediate or above.
Not sure how to help? Use your voice & join us in opposing these changes & asking for data-informed policy for our FI program: https://t.co/SSiyIq1M0G
@TheFwordNB & one more thing! Here’s a link to add your voice to ask for a data-informed FI program. @Gov_NB is actually consulting on the changes until Nov. 30, so here is a draft form letter to the consultation email & cabinet to oppose the proposed changes: https://t.co/SSiyIpJCMy
@TheFwordNB teaching French like they signed up for.
Here are some recommendations on how to improve the system we currently have (there is always room for improvement!) that are fact-based, if it’s of interest: https://t.co/LP4gGzVkEi
