Quando a empatia vira instrumento de manipulação — com crachá moral

O texto começa com uma gentileza calculada: “Eu entendo a sua revolta com o crime organizado.” É o clássico preâmbulo de quem prepara o terreno para discordar fingindo que concorda. Essa estratégia retórica — um “abraço antes da facada” — é o truque favorito de quem quer ensinar moral política ao leitor sem parecer professoral. Primeiro, elogia sua indignação; depois, explica por que ela é ingenuidade. A pedagogia do condescendente.

Em seguida, o autor concede que o crime organizado é terrível, oprime famílias e precisa ser enfrentado. Até aí, estamos todos de acordo. A mágica vem logo depois: com a sutileza de um vendedor de doutrina, ele anuncia que “os políticos da extrema-direita estão usando a sua indignação para te manipular”. Repare: o texto não discute ideias, discute intenções.
O “eles” genérico — sempre à direita de quem escreve — é apresentado não como adversário político, mas como vilão moral. Não há debate sobre propostas, números ou planos; há apenas a revelação messiânica de que você, leitor, é vítima de um feitiço eleitoral. Um tipo de desrespeito polido que tenta te salvar de ti mesmo.

O argumento seguinte é previsível: “eles não oferecem soluções concretas”. Verdade parcial — e, portanto, confortável. Nenhum campo político tem o monopólio das soluções, mas o texto faz crer que apenas um lado se alimenta do medo, enquanto o outro, naturalmente, se alimenta da luz. É a versão moderna do “nós somos a razão, eles são o ressentimento” — agora temperada com emojis de empatia.

Curioso que o autor acuse os outros de manipular emoções justamente enquanto manipula a mais eficaz delas: a sensação de superioridade moral. É um tipo de narcisismo politizado — a crença de que quem discorda não raciocina, apenas sente medo; e que quem concorda, por algum dom espiritual, já transcendeu o marketing político.
O truque é antigo, mas eficaz: rotular o eleitorado alheio como vítima da própria emoção e reservar para si o papel do tutor racional. A psicanálise travestida de cidadania.

Ao fim, o texto não convence: consola. Oferece ao leitor o bálsamo de acreditar que, se ele se indigna, é porque é lúcido; e se o outro se indigna, é porque foi manipulado.
É a mais refinada forma de autopromoção política: vender razão como se fosse empatia.
No fundo, o autor acusa os outros de fazer exatamente o que ele faz — só que com menos sutileza.
