Orange-pink uplifts gray clouds
And green-yellow encourages frothy waves.
Home is home is home."

"The ember glow – dim and forgotten,
Reaches from the rear passenger cabin.
We stand, among others absorbed in screens,
Like Christmas lights sprinkled through the city."

"Centuries lay before you.
Nude.
Scarred, save for thin protective layer-
A spider's web thrown to the wind.
It's a whisper that allows us to breathe."

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.
@ana_scribe Big congrats!
What states, what cities? I grew up in Southern California (which if you like sun, San Diego is perfection).
Recently went to Chicago for the first time and that place is stunning.
@austinsrhea Its interesting but a lot of good Queer fiction gets into some Queer History too. "We the Animals" by Justin Torres was so intriguing to me that I read his book "Blackouts", which is very much into Queer history.
Have you read either of these?

@EliseMeder@nicburnss Now, you may be right in a lot of cases. But not all mind you.

I asked them about potentially other marginalized voices inquiring… and they blocked me.

Reminder: Write that thing. Pluck it outta your soul with rusty pliers. Hit the keyboard like it owes you money. Write whenever, wherever you can. Tell your story. Make the words dance. Whatever you want—a novel, a short story, an agent, a movie—it all starts with the writing.
Do online writing query events typically yield results? As in partial or full requests later down the line?
I haven’t participated in one yet, and wondering how fruitful it is!
