@Acyn National Guard personnel can be activated and deploy with active units. Served with 3 such people on the USS IWO JIMA (LHD-7) and 2 on the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69). Additionally, entire units can be sent to foreign countries. My ex's AFNG unit was sent to Qatar in 2004.
