Trump rescheduling marijuana is a step in the right direction, but let’s be clear about what it is and what it is not. Rescheduling does not make cannabis legal. It does not end federal prohibition. It does not stop people from being arrested under federal law.

Marijuana should be completely decriminalized at the federal level. And we should expunge the records of everyone arrested for possession.
