@CrisHeroes The gameplay itselfโbeing inside the stadium, playing as a Pokรฉmonโis the only good part of the game anymore. Emblems are stupid, License Journey was a HUGE miss, acquiring cosmetics is wildly expensive, loot boxes and prize shooter are awful. It's so hard to want to play anymore
A tragic accident that turns out not to be so accidental...

I promise I've been writing. It's just been a hell of a year and I've been doing my best to be gentle with my goals and ambitions. But I have a book nearly ready to start querying and I'm quite excited about it. ๐ค๐๐๏ธ
My favorite thing about the absolute downfall of this site after the rat took it over is that, if/when he finally gives it up, the single best marketing tool they'll have is the very fact that he's not running it anymore.
@king_reinhardt I'm doing the thing I know some people hate: Writing the story in three separate timelines, lol. Two of them are for one character (one when he's a kid and one when he's an adult), and the other is for another kid in the late '50s.
@Skoll_Shorties It's...pretty bad, yeah. Ditch the dumb little fill-the-bar quests (or put mini bosses there instead), and after a boss spawns, keep that boss spawning every 10 minutes or so until the next area. That's how I'd change this event.
@Virginia_Brasch And I'm not just talking about "Oh, the author said 'Aaron' once when that character's name is Alex, oops!" It was incorrect its/it's, their/there/they're, that kind of thing. I don't mind when this happens infrequently, but it was multiple issues per page.
@Virginia_Brasch I was really excited about a book mentioned in a Facebook group I'm in. The premise was unique and exciting, and I was eager to dive into it, but it was clear pretty early on that it had not been edited. The writing was mediocre at best and it was riddled with errors.
@Fleks27 I want to be, but I'm skeptical. I'm a feral main and really don't like the philosophy they took with redesigning feral gameplay (the tl;dr version is that they're slowing it WAY down), and I'm not confident PvE will be in a good place right away.
Historically, I've had a mix of planning and pantsing my books. In this case, I planned and outlined quite thoroughly, and I'm ashamed to say it's working beautifully.
@Warcraft Soaring Spelltome. I know it got a fair bit easier with DF launch, but it still took a lot of work and a lot of wipes and I'm so happy to have it. It was my favorite of the three that we voted on so I'm glad to have been able to get it another way.
