In May 2025, 34 of us published a major review paper, "What Lessons can Be Learned From the Management of the COVID-19 Pandemic?" in which we "identif[ied] major problems with many aspects of [the] COVID-19 policies as they were implemented".

Recently, in response to our review, an Italian public health expert, Dr. Donzelli, submitted a comment to the journal. He heartily agreed with our analysis, but wanted to add some further suggestions.

His comment and our reply have just been published today. We took the opportunity to highlight & clarify additional concerns over the COVID-19 policies that have become apparent since our original paper.
