I could read into Colon's work the feelings the two boys must have had because of what Colon must know, because of his race, how blacks were treated in past years. If not for that, I do not feel he could have described correctly the horrors endured. He is a very excellent writer.

Madi, I have talked with Colon over the past few weeks and I read his book this morning while Judy was undergoing chemotherapy. It is a very good (fiction) book and account of how 2 black boys were treated at the hands of the state of Florida and the employees of the school.
