Britt’s home. She had a good day today, out and about with support all day. Tomorrow they’ll buy a pumpkin to decorate. Britt loves holidays. I’m a Scrooge at best. I now have a grandbaby, so I have to get with the program. My grandson is 1yo. He’s in FL now, working on getting their house ready. When DIL leaves USAF , they’re back to FL to live. #Autism #ASD

For my birthday in November, we’re staying in NYC. I already bought tickets for 4 broadway shows for Britt & support. We’ll have my grandson and he’s too young to attend shows, so Britt & support are on their own.

One day, I wasn’t up to going out and Britt grabbed my purse , put it on crossbody, and was looking for my keys (my car doesn’t use a key). I think she wanted to drive herself…omg, omg, omg. She has zero idea how to drive, but she made it clear she wasn’t staying in the house.

Britt is doing better the past several days. She was grumpy for a few weeks, she it’s a welcome relief. Today she went to the arcade and the mall with support. Britt likes to be busy at all times. Sitting in the house is a giant NO from her.

I miss being beachfront a lot. One thing we have here that wasn’t at the beach is we have a peacock colony. Such a majestic bird. They cause a lot of traffic as they are in the road a lot & zero fear of cars.

I just talked to my son & he said Britt totally lost control of her behaviors in the casino aboard the Disney cruise. She even went after her father & brother (bro on a foot he broke yesterday/boot/crutches.) He tried to use the crutch to keep her away from support, so britt went after bro. Then dad. I’m crushed.She’s been acting like this for weeks now, frantic and confused. Very concerning. I guess we’re back to baseline…again. #AutismAwareness

@GAnder79 Britt’s been on 36 Disney cruises (every year of her life). She has had changes in her life. We moved off the beach. Her 14yr caregiver left due to cancer. She’s obsessed with the mail delivery. A long shot is she thinks she’s missing her dvd delivery.

Today Britt & the gang are at an island resort. They get a room so they can use the famous pool on the island. Britt’s already did the lazy river 3x. She always goes on the water slide (annual tradition). They wrap up island day by taking a bike ride. Britt rides a 2 wheel bike. I think (hope) she’s behaving. This is my grandson’s 1st Disney cruise (he’s 1yo). A lot of new activities, he’s taking it all in.

My son broke his leg on the Disney cruise playing basketball. He broke it before the ship left the Port Canaveral dock! Are you kidding me, son. My boy 😩😥😫

Same!!! Support is super ready w/emergency dose.) It so autism that Britt is in her fave place on the planet (Disney cruise) with her fave people including her beloved father, doing all her fave activities, yet she still gets worked up. She looks forward to this all year, every year. #AutismReality #Autistic

I’m trying to get an update from #DisneyCruise, but nobody is answering my texts. I’m hoping Britt isn’t losing it. The picture I saw of her wasn’t promising. She had that autism face…like she’s going to flip-out any minute. The good news is there are plenty of wingmen. I am concerned if she loses it in the cabin w/support…there’s nowhere to run. #Autism #MeltDowns #ASD #AutismAwareness

@pitterpatter31 She gets aggressive and she’s super strong. At home, we play run around the kitchen island, on a ship, there’s nowhere to go. They have a balcony, but that could lead to disaster, so not an option.

Britt left for the Disney cruise this morning. Her bro/SIL/baby nephew already picked her up. She started out the morning with some autism drama, but by the time they arrived, she calmed down. A good reason to always leave extra time on the schedule, to let her regulate her moods. Support has plenty of wingmen on board. #Travelingwithautism #Autistic
