As in, some studies indicate that up to 91% of autistic people have stomach issues (like constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal pain).

Almost all of us wear diapers as children. If you are lucky enough to reach “old age” you will be wearing them again.

My daughter's math teacher has a rule that they only get one bathroom pass per week, AND, if they don't use it, they get academic extra credit. I am livid. But my daughter is mad that I want to email the teacher and CC the principal. Am I wrong here?

It's incredibly important to talk about incontinence because by spreading the knowledge we can prevent more children from going through this trauma! If teachers know that some people genuienly CANNOT hold it, we can learn to diagnose the issue and help our children!

School bathroom policy caused me to pee myself multiple times a week up until middle school. The teachers knew, but never told my parents. I hid it from them because I thought that since my teachers wouldn't care, they wouldn't either. I also regularly got UTIs from holding it.

Right now most Insurance plans across the country along with Medicare do not view diapers/supplies as "medically necessary" and for those of us on Medicaid, not everyone in every state has the same access to supplies and it varies widely.
