A 65-year-old tourist from Bhopal, Bhagat Ram Sharma, was killed on Monday after a speeding SUV rammed his hatchback at the Happy Bar junction in Assagao.
While Sharma died on the spot, two other passengers sustained minor injuries. In a miraculous escape, a five-month-old infant in the vehicle remained completely unharmed.
The incident sparked immediate tension as onlookers claimed the SUV’s occupants tried to switch seats after the crash to shield the actual driver from accountability.
Police are currently investigating these claims and the cause of the accident.

I think the agencies who rent out the SUV’s shouldn’t rent it out to people who are below 28 because if they do this is what gonna happen @Mahindra_Auto@TourismGoa@NHAI_Official MAHINDRA THAR Should be banned for rent purpose.
Even Goa isn’t safe from Thar drivers! 🤦🏻♂️ And then we end up blaming the locals for reacting. Honestly, I’ve been to Goa twice and always rented a Baleno never really understood the idea of taking a Thar there in the first place!
At this point, it doesn’t even matter whether it’s cheaper or not, it’s just not practical.
Just last week, my family was travelling from Lucknow to Prayagraj (barely 203 km) in a Tata Nexon EV.
They missed one fast-charging spot on the way, assuming they’d top up later. The battery dropped to 8–9% with nearly 50 km still to go and that’s when it all started started. No fast chargers nearby. The only available charging station was a slow one, which took 70–80 minutes just to bring the battery up to 30%.
Eventually, they found a fast charger, topped it up to 60–65%, and resumed the journey.
They left Lucknow at 1 PM. They reached at 12 AM.
This is a route that normally takes 4–4.5 hours.
Yes, they could have planned better and charged whenever possible. But this is exactly the point EV adoption today still demands near-perfect planning.
And that’s the current reality of our EV infrastructure.
These are the new 2026 Audi headlights. Audi has always been ahead in lighting technology
I might be wrong but I feel this kind of dynamic lighting can become a distraction.
When lights keep moving, your eyes tend to chase them instead of focusing straight ahead.
Headlights should ideally be precise, stable, and focused forward. What do you think?🤔
