Last but not least is Lewis Campbell who submitted a plan to prevent car cloning. A near-field communication chip fitted to a car communicates with a smartphone in close proximity. The smartphone scans information, via blockchain, which then goes to a central manufacturer server
Second up is Daniel Wilcox, his idea stemmed from his everyday driving experience and his ambition to create ways to improve road safety.
His proposal is a double pulsating hazard light that ensures differentiation from an indicator.
Our first finalist is Robert Cameron, who has proposed a system that would allow consumers to realistically compare their current car to one they are considering buying, producing data such as environmental impact and financial gains, translating it to terms the buyer understands
Tonight we will be announcing the winner of the 2018 Autocar-Courland Next Generation award at 10pm during the @smmt Annual Dinner. Here are our finalists (L-R) Lewis Campbell, Robert Cameron, Daniel Wilcox
