#BREAKING I’m here on the scene of a fire off Live Oak Drive in Moncks Corner. Crews responded around 4:30 this morning. Four cats were confirmed dead as a result, but no injuries to any people. Will keep you updated as we learn more @Live5News
UPDATE at the #Charleston airport. Currently 8:30 a.m. and ticketing/check in is still empty, security remains closed. Spoke with a Breeze employee who says that runaway and taxi lanes are clear but emergency lanes are not. She says she hopes they can get back running after noon.
Employee believes that the reason people were unaware of their flight cancellation is because they booked through a third party and the communication between airline and passenger is not direct.
Charleston airport boards showing just about every flight before noon today has been canceled. Security is still not open and no employees are working any ticketing/check in desks. Several passengers have arrived stating the airlines have not communicated clearly to them.
@LarryCoons7 I am not seeing one to arrive at 7:50 unfortunately. There is a SW flight from Baltimore that was supposed to arrive at 10:45 a.m. and that is currently showing it is canceled.
@smrubin77@Live5News I am SO so sorry to hear that you guys are dealing with that. That is devastating and just so stressful. Hopefully we get an update soon. Wishing the best for you guys❤️ & Congratulations to your son!
@Live5News Spoke to people traveling for funerals and birthdays and getting delayed till Saturday and now having to find hotels. Now people are running into the issue that Ubers are not available so they are just stuck here.
@Live5News Security normally opens at 4 a.m. There were two 7 a.m. flights that were showing on time but JUST got canceled. A lot of unhappy passengers saying the airlines are not being clear with them.
Getting out the holiday decorations this weekend? I caught up with @AutumnLive5@Live5News to talk about keeping your decor energy efficient and safe this holiday season.

#BREAKING - crews on scene near Virginia Ave off 526. Officials say car was submerged in the water here. Several police, Underwater Recovery Team and EMS are on scene. Tow truck has just arrived.
UPDATE: Charleston Water System is out here now evaluating the sinkhole on Romney Street and beginning to clear it out. Officials tell me the cause was a burst pipe underground so the next steps are to clear out the hole and repair the pipe. @Live5News
We are seeing the aftermath of #Debby now. Check out this large sinkhole on Romney Street between King and Meeting. SCDOT and Charleston PD are out here. They ask everyone to avoid the area and to find an alternative route. The Romney Street exit ramp off I-26 is still open.
