“Dear Reader,
I'll start by saying thank you. Thank you for opening your hearts to us, to this version of Wicked, to the friendship within it, to Elphaba and to me as me.

The chances are, if you are in possession of this book, you have spent at least two hours and forty-five minutes of your life with us, at a theater, with friends, at home, or solo, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Being a part of this magical piece has changed my life, and I have loved every second of getting to meet all of you. Seeing your version of the war cry, hearing you sing "Defying Gravity," seeing your interpretation of the Ozdust Ballroom. Hearing your stories of connectivity, hearing how you feel seen, and seeing just how many Elphabas exist. I am astounded and my heart is full.

It's sad when you realize that fiyero is the only person grateful that elphaba cast a spell on him and that means a lot because she feels immense guilt for all her spells, even though they were cast for good and to help, but fiyero is grateful and happy to be alive and with her

she casts a spell on the monkeys intending to help them fulfill a dream, but it was all a lie orchestrated by the wizard.
the lion blames her for being a coward even though she saved his life; nessa doesn't thank her and even blames elphaba; boq has his life saved and feels anger, and somehow everyone blames her, but fiyero thanks her wholeheartedly

“In the first movie, I really wanted people to see her lightness. I think it’s easy to discount her as someone who is angsty and mean and sort of defensive. In the second movie, I really wanted people to watch her fall into her weakest moment. With No Good Deed, people usually believe that she’s angry and strong, but I actually think she’s at her weakest. It’s the moment when she’s surrendered to what has been said about her, because there’s nothing left to give.”
