@MrMurderMayhem @tabsout A long time ago my band was going to release a tape but our drummer accidentally ordered soft poly boxes so we just said "Fuck it. No tape."
@cyanidetooth The only time I've ever seen the "Load LP" was in Montreal when I grabbed it. The jacket was peeling and so beat to hell that it looked like a 60s LP salvaged from a storage unit rather than a decade old release. Shrews were a cool band.

@nakedfoul@cyanidetooth To clarify, it's the former. I'm always finding (previously unheard or revisited) music to love but haven't loved any band more than Pixies. It would be so cool if I start loving another one more! Sorry didn't know there was an interpretation of making an objective proclamation
@hebreworphan@cyanidetooth Spot on. Also, back then the young "indie" crowd knew how much Phair's minivan rock sucked and were very vocal about it. Where are the young people now to take over? We can't keep doing this forever!
@geoffwilt He still gets great actors but they all do the same "WA performance" vs. (for example) Gene as Royal, he brings his own style into WA's world and that's why that character works so well and is so memorable
@geoffwilt I think the reason for the (sometimes drastic) downturn in quality since the first three is that WA has become an established, defined product and that's affected the performances the actors give in the films.
