I'm still leaning Mormon due to the trace swedish ancestry, English part may be from Mormon immigrants and the swedish may be from the swedish immigrants the Mormons got to move here early on, but they became anglicized and didn't continue to mix with swedish immigrants.

So what's the story here? By in large, this dna is very characteristically heritage American, but there's a few things that tell me something specific about the family history. I'm 50/50 on the Mormon thing, could just be from wasp family up north, the Scottish thing looks highlander I think so that's not southern at all. The Appalachian region is where all the actual early settlers went to who were of Ulster-Scot heritage, which again is lowlanders

Edit: after leaving this comment, I read that this user is located in Minnesota. Minnesota is an immigrant state, but the early Anglo families that settled there were Yankee. The only heritage Americans of the Midwest were Yankee ethnics. The rest of real america is southern ethnics and full of Ulster-Scot names and names common to the southerner

My original point stands, it's possible this person's heritage is from an insular Anglo Mormon family of New York who went to Minnesota given such a high isolation of Yankee English genes, or from a very rural and religious wasp family.

Not always. There are many mestizo and indian Mexicans who don't have any Mixtec blood. There were many many tribes, including Mayan and dozens of others, many are only from tribes that fought against Aztecs and sided with Spanish. And there are many Mexicans who are 80% or more European blood, and in the upper class there are some Criollos of pure European blood too.

A few generations ago, most Mexicans associated with Hispanic identity weren't really brown Indians at all, they were castizos or Criollos, either 100% European or 75% European with fair European features, like the Hispanic part of my ancestry was. And the little Indian blood they had had zero to do with Aztecs.

It's called freedom of association, if I own an ice cream shop or something, I should be able to serve anyone I want to. Even if I don't want people with yellow ties in my store or people with brown baseball caps, I have the right to refuse service to anyone. Why would anyone obsess so much about what individual white people want or like or dislike or who they want to associate with? Any other racial or national group can say and do whatever they want on an individual basis, yet white people having opinions is the end of the world?
