i genuinely think some of you need to learn that not everyone has to engage with fandom the same way you do.. post what you want, ship what you want, don't ship what you want but the constant insults, slurs, harassment, and policing of other people's accounts is exhausting
Off campus s2 announcement really shows you on how much of a miss Bridgerton really is. All the couples should be able to exist together no matter who the leads are. Boxing the couples into one season was such a mistake
@mrs_larocque@ArchLuminous@chicagotechmom 27 male teachers, 1 male librarian, and 1 male AP in my middle school, zero of them claiming to be female. Only a couple with no children bc they're early 20s.
People talking this nonsense have no interest in reality. Mindlessly regurgitating Faux News is their thing.
@NetflixF16675@WdSanjay@whatonnetflix Fandom negativity+ fan wars don't affect viewing numbers. The whole Bridgerton fandom is maybe 250,000 people across all of social media. It is the general audience, the millions of people who do not belong to fandoms, who didnt watch. Views come from the general audience.
@WdSanjay@whatonnetflix S4 was marketed a lot. Luke T said he and Yerin did 215 interviews together. There were photoshoots and covers, appearances, world tour.
@pfft2468@whatonnetflix It was the same for all other seasons, though. Same time had passed between the previous season and the next one, two years. And yet they made it.
Never forget that Bridgerton s2 first 28 days viewing overtook even S1 numbers. And that is with limited promotion. It was all word of mouth. And unlike other seasons they were not given a 90 day window where the season was pushed to no end.
But the number of subscribers also increases every year.
At the time of S4 release, the number of subscribers Netflix had was:
~ 48 million more than during S3
~ 105 million more than during S2
~ 122 million more than during S1
This is important to consider.
