"These mass evictions are having a differential, discriminatory, impact on my clients because of their race, because of their ethnicity, because of their religion." Find out more about the residents and what we are doing to #DefendHerongate: https://t.co/8PMoxAPfUC #Right2Housing
Megaphones and speakers are indispensable tools for organizing and communicating with large crowds. By-law penalizing protesters with $1000s in fines is frankly irresponsible and dangerous. Join us in rallying May 22nd 6:30pm at Marion-Dewer Plaza: https://t.co/KLJo9A3VfV
I hate that I had to write this. But I'd like to think I'm not the only one who took some action.
If you'd like to know more about code of conduct for members of council (a recurring theme this term, apparently), here is the link: https://t.co/KYYifzpVrO
Winning our fight for housing rights of Herongate residents would mean developers have to work with the racialized communities they want to develop, said Daniel Daniel Tucker-Simmons of @AvantLawPC

This morning, I rose in support of @theJagmeetSingh's call to end Canadian arms sales to Israel.
Palestinians and Israelis have a right to live in peace, but lasting peace can't happen without justice. The siege of Gaza and illegal occupation must end. #FreePalestine
I am a survivor of sexual misconduct in the military. I spoke out publicly in the New York Times about my experience and my desire for culture change.
Not a single member of CAF/DND leadership, or the government reached out at that time or since.
Not a single person.
We will be speaking at this event TOMORROW at 7PM organized by the Mauril-Bélanger Social Innovation Workshop!
We will be talking about tactics as well as the challenges of organizing during a global pandemic.

So far @ottawacity has spent $2.6 million on its plan to reach its climate targets.
The City is also spending $113 million on widening one road but Happy #EarthDay2021@JimWatsonOttawa.
Lawyers, how many times have you brought a motion for seizure and sale within 30 days of a Court order awarding costs? Useful I guess if client is trying to intimidate a self-represented litigant bringing a human rights claim. We see you @bankofcanada

I add my voice to those who feel that law school tuitions are totally out of control and negatively impact the practice of law and access to justice. Many want to do less remunerative areas of law, but these tuition levels make that hard. Also: high tuitions are a scam! 1/2
The framing of the @NDP right now by @RosieBarton is "Why should people vote for the NDP if the @liberal_party are going to push for things you want?"
The Liberals have been running on pharmacare since the 90s and it has never been implemented, reason enough to vote @NDP.
We did it folks. I am still in disbelief.
This resolution passing is for all those suffering under the brutal Israeli occupation, for all my fellow Jews critical of Israel who get hate for believing in human rights and for all those pro-Palestine candidates dropped in 2015. 1/2
This is Phillip Wapoose. All winter he lived in a tent w/his wife. She recently passed away while she was on dialysis. She was an elder & she died, houseless, w/o clean water or plumbing. Imagine your loved one dying like this. No respect for ALL of our elders?
This is Canada.
📣STOP THE CUTS!📣
#Ottawa City Councilor, @MeehanCarolAnne wants to cut public transit across the city, using the pandemic as an excuse to slash services and we need YOU to stop this from happening. Find out how (a thread) 1/6:
