Lore:
Aberrant Reverberation, the scanner reads. What does this mean? Why is the scanner designed to detect it?
The team has no answers. No scan or science could prepare them for what awaits, the shimmering. The melding, of flesh and metal.
Run.
Was this a penance? Or a punishment for humanities arrogance? Does it matter?
Reverberations detected.
Flesh upon the walls, upon the floors. It writhes in agony, worsening upon approach.
The shimmering... Run from it, and for God's sake do not touch it.

@JustinMalayas The original backrooms will always be superior to the "monster filled corridor" thing it turned into.
You can't get the same level of unnerving with the new version.
In the ancient past, a rite had to be performed in the location where a murder or other killing took place. similar to Mytaāsa but meant to cleanse the area.
My people had to stop this rite when the killings increased. That was before Order was brought, before the Operand.
Death. My people's punishment for any violent acts, to be delievered swiftly. This extends to outsiders.
If one of my people are condemned to die for their crimes, Nytaāsa is performed; the denial of their burial rites.
So that they cannot taint our afterlife with their sins
@kwawakari Basically something similar to this, maybe not exactly the same. I'd have to do some thinking on it. Probably more dark colors.
This outfit was a copy of the one from Ghost in the Shell SAC lmao
