E siamo grati a chi ci aiuta.
Grazie, Italia! Buona Festa della Repubblica!
Today has been a difficult day in Ukraine after a massive Russian strike. There were many ballistic missiles and drones. Now air-raid alerts are active across various regions too. And once again, we are facing aerial threats. Just today, Russian strikes have taken 22 lives in Kyiv and Dnipro, including children. We are doing everything to protect our people, our cities, and our communities. And we are grateful to those who are helping us. Ukraine is grateful to Italy. We deeply value that you care, that you want peace for us, and see the defense of Kyiv’s independence and freedom as your cause. Together, we will certainly achieve this.
I congratulate Italy, President Mattarella @Quirinale, President of the Council of Ministers @GiorgiaMeloni, and all Italian people on the 80th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic. Freedom is an achievement that must be defended every day.
Thank you, Italy! Buona Festa della Repubblica!
KAMYSHIN: There are two nations on the continent who know how to produce 10 million drones a year.
One of them wants not to integrate into Europe, but to invade. Russians have always been very vocal about their targets.
When we check tanks we captured from Russia in our tank repair factories, because we grab them, repair them, and try to send them back to Russia to fight against Russia, so when we check those tanks, they never write to Kyiv.
They always write to Berlin, NATO, Prague, whatever. They can't admit to themselves that they fight Ukraine only.
They believe they fight with NATO. They've always been very vocal about their targets. They want to invade Europe, period.
There's another nation which is also capable of producing whatever is needed in big war, and we are asking to get us integrated into Europe.
So, you have to choose whether you want to have Ukraine integrated into European defense industry and European Union, rather than Russia invading.
Because I've never thought that Ukraine would be integrated into European Union via security and defense road. And it looks like we will be there.
Unfortunately, the current level of supplies for our air defense does not allow us to intercept a significant share of missiles. Last night, there were hits. 130 people were injured. Tragically, 22 people were killed, including two children. My condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones.
We know from intelligence that another large-scale strike may come as soon as tonight. All our partners together, and everyone in Europe, should continue working to ensure missiles for our air defense, as well as the systems, critical intelligence, and other things that help to save lives.
It is crystal clear that Europe needs its own anti-ballistic system with sufficient volumes and strength to guarantee protection against any threat.
‼️Something very important is happening on the Mariupol direction.
ZELENSKYY: A Ukrainian soldier from Mariupol gave me this chevron, with a clear desire for Ukraine to return to Mariupol and to all of its territory. And we really, really want it to be so.
This statement from Zelenskyy is especially symbolic, as Ukraine’s mid-range strike campaign is causing havoc to multiple critical Russian supply routes deep behind the front in southern Ukraine this month. Numerous Russian military transports have been hit on the E105, M14, and H20 highways connecting Rostov to Crimea, which is effectively disrupting supply lines to Mariupol and cutting off logistics to the area.
"Dear Rivne region! Today I was here, with our soldiers, I awarded, our guys. Wounded soldiers who are recovering here. One of them from Mariupol, Maksym, gave me a chevron. Here is this chevron. He gave me this with a clear desire for Ukraine to return to Mariupol, to return to its entire land. And we really, really want it to be so. Thank you, thank you to all our soldiers, our defenders. Glory to Ukraine!"- Ukrainian President on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Zelensky shares video from "Coalition of the Willing" meeting in Paris
“We are filling real security guarantees for Ukraine with long-term substance and ensuring support for our Defence Forces right now,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
On July 17th 2014, exactly 11 years ago, Russia murdered 296 people flying on MH17 over Eastern Ukraine.
This video shows their bodies being returned to the Netherlands.
Every car is one person murdered.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz:
◾️A memorandum of understanding will be signed between Germany and Ukraine on the procurement of long-range weapon systems manufactured in Ukraine, known as long-range. There will be no restrictions on their range.
◾️Germany will finance a significant portion of Ukraine's Starlink coverage.
◾️Russian strikes are a "slap in the face for all those who are fighting for a ceasefire, not only in Ukraine itself but also in Europe and the US."
Thankful to the people and government of Germany for standing with Ukraine! 🇩🇪🇺🇦

The U.S. is blocking a G7 statement condemning Russia’s deadly strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy last week—which killed 35 and injured 117—in order to avoid disrupting “peace talks” with Moscow, according to Bloomberg.
This is absolutely infuriating
This morning, two Russian missiles struck the heart of the city of Sumy in Ukraine, causing numerous civilian casualties, including children once again.
Everyone knows: this war was initiated by Russia alone. And today, it is clear that Russia alone chooses to continue it — with blatant disregard for human lives, international law, and the diplomatic efforts of President Trump.
Strong measures are needed to impose a ceasefire on Russia. France is working tirelessly toward this goal, alongside its partners.
To the victims, the wounded, and all of Ukraine that continues to resist: our solidarity, our respect, our unwavering commitment.
This morning, Russian cruelty struck again, killing men, women and children in the city of Sumy.
A barbaric attack, made even more vile as people gathered peacefully to celebrate Palm Sunday.
This latest escalation is a grim reminder:
Russia was and remains the aggressor, in blatant violation of international law.
Strong measures are urgently needed to enforce a ceasefire. Europe will continue to reach out to partners and maintain strong pressure on Russia until the bloodshed ends and a just and lasting peace is achieved, on Ukraine’s terms and conditions.
The victims of today’s attack, their families, and all Ukrainians are in our hearts. Today and every day.
Europe stands with Ukraine and President @ZelenskyyUa.
