Ave María: the first certified organic orange farm in Andalucia; supplier of Seville oranges to none other than @waitrose, sending more than one million kilos every year! #avemariaoranges are also recommended by Delia Smith! @DeliaOnline. Enjoy our oranges available at #waitrose
I never can resist a curving lane, disappearing into the mist, tantalising, beckoning. They're the reason I'm late for so many appointments. I've told my son that my dying words will be, "I just want to see what's around the next corner..." - as they always were in life. 😂
In addition to our famous "Seville", ideal for marmalade, at Ave María grow other varieties of this precious citrus, such as "navelina". It is a good-sized, slightly flat fruit that has a lot of juice, so it is ideal for making juice, but it is also very tasty to eat.
Our first plantation dates back to 1867! In those years of the 19th century itbegan the massive export of bitter oranges, the so-called “Sevilles”, to the UK; our British friends love marmalade, 🍊!
Tell us: is bitter orange one of your favourite flavours of marmalade?
🍊 Our loyal customers speak: "It's good to know that these oranges are organically grown. I look forward to them coming into the store every Jan/Feb so that I can get cracking with marmalade making. As usual they were good quality, and made lovely marmalade" @waitrose 🧡🇬🇧💚
🍊 If you haven't made your own marmalade before 👩🍳👨🍳, why not set yourself the challenge this month? It's still #marmaladeseason 🧡 Ave María Sevilles for sale at @Natoora 🇬🇧👨🌾🇪🇸💚
