Take a bow, Burger Singh! This is THE funniest corporate statement I have read in a long, long time! 😂 But even while it is rip-roaringly funny, it also explains their stand so appropriately because they find so many ways to come at the same point, each one funnier than the previous one!
"corporate equivalent of listing your house on 99acres"
"like reporting that India won the match right before Siraj took guard against Shoaib Bashir's second-last ball of the 75th over"
"If listing a share offer means we've raised the money, then by that logic, every bachelor on Shaadi. com is already married"
"I'm also the Maharaja of Jaipur just because I looked at a palace on Google Maps last week"
"like reviewing a restaurant based solely on the smell wafting from the kitchen"
And then there's... "Kabir receives more unknown-number WhatsApps than a housing society aunty gets forwarded videos during Navratri" 😁
To be sure, this is an elegant takedown of the Entrackr story. But what could have been either a simple, direct, and routine denial statement (that would not sound like a takedown at all and merely sound like clarification), is now a sharply nuanced takedown that hardly sounds like one, while also unequivocally asserting the brand's clarification.
I would love to know who was behind this at Burger Singh - someone from the PR/corporate communications team? Or someone from the brand's PR agency? Or, a team effort?
Exceptionally well done!
