@Independent@TorstenBell nice of you to show your support for this bill which is going to affect some of your constituents the hardest. Labour is done for.
I thought it might be a laugh to appoint Cabinet Ministers who are experts in their fields, capable and experienced, in a radical break from the recent tradition of having a Cabinet made up of incompetent fuckwits and cronies.
It's really nice to see some normal people going to the cabinet meeting this morning. It also looks like they mean business.
What a pleasant change from the Tories, I'm hopeful Labour live up to their promise.
I’m old enough to have seen Labour in power before, so I can tell you (and Mark) that for all their faults, mistakes and missteps (Iraq being the biggest by far), it was still miles better than the chaos and misery of the last 14 years.

I hope the legendary Steve Bray knows that he created a historic moment. In every replay of Sunak calling the election, Labours 1997 anthem will ring out loudly, it was an excellent protest. It made the country smile and likely made Sunak furious. Mad respect @snb19692 ✊🏼
2024: Rishi Sunak, "PIP assessments are often easily exploited"
2019: Marsha de Cordova, "£26 million spend in a single year fighting and losing PIP appeals.. The appeals process is forcing many disabled people to wait for the decisions.. Labour's view is that PIP assessments are not only cruel but they are wasteful, unfit for purpose assessments"
The UK's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is making disabled people are target to try and appease a populist audience. Disgraceful
This is just evil. Nobody on PIP has "mild" mental health problems. It's v.hard to claim. It's not an out of work benefit, PIP allows many TO work. & How dare they funnel more public money to their dodgy mates with "voucher" contracts ???https://t.co/XPV7N5wADH
PIP = personal *independence* payment
The key word is ‘independence’ - it allows disabled folk to buy things that assist with their disability
It’s not up to anyone else what that money is spent on
& it has nothing to do with having a job
This govt just hates disabled people
